American Democracy Project

These posters we executed in my History of Graphic Design class after learning about the different styles of graphic design. We were asked to make 5 posters that focused on political or social issues that we cared about. During critiques we focused on discussing what style would best represent the message we wanted to get across and how to make the biggest visual impact for our cause. These four posters were selected to go up in our “Let Your Voice Be Heard” exhibit in the Schmidt Foundation Center for Art and Design. My posters utilize Pictorial Modernism, Conceptual Image, Swiss/American Typographic and the Art Nouveau styles to depict my messages.

My Art Nouveau “Faith Doesn’t Justify Hate” poster received the Students’ Choice Award at the Exhibition.
